The end of my acrylic sun

Today I painted over my sun.
Since moving home, the upstairs bathroom has been an ongoing project of mine.
It was originally done in a "siamese cat" theme, a vision of my mom's.
It had to go.
After painting it sky blue and adjusting the mirror, I hit a plateau- relying on my brother and dad to finish some of the move heavy duty things.

One cold winter morning I started painting on the wall with the window.
Season Affective Disorder was not going to beat me this year, I began working on a big sun shining over water.
There is something reassuring about waking up and not having to bother looking out the window, because there is a huge sun shining on the wall.
It changed my disposition.
It was a little heartbreaking covering up my water and reflections,
I really liked how it was coming along.
Color makes me feel alive.

Earlier this week I did some shopping and found some beautiful brown marble accents, and a dark brown curtain.
The orange sun, although a beautiful complement to my blue walls, had run it's course.
Now, I rely on my window, shining into a beautiful reality, instead of imagination.
